Objectives of the workshop would include the following:

  1. What is blood pressure and what is high blood pressure i.e. hypertension?

  2. What are the different stages of hypertension

  3. What are the different ill effects of high blood pressure on human body

  4. Benefits of exercise in clients having high blood pressure.

  5. How to design an exercise program for hypertensive clients

  6. Ways to prevent hypertension by exercise and diet.

  7. Having high blood pressure and not getting enough exercise are closely related.

  8. Exercise is advocated for the prevention, treatment and control of hypertension.

  9. This workshop reviews current knowledge about exercise and blood pressure (BP), and provides a guideline for exercise prescription that considers the health status and age of the patient.

  10. Also, you will have answers to:

 a. How exercise can lower your blood pressure? 

 b. How much exercise do you need?

 c. Can you do Weight training with high blood pressure?

   11. Hands-on practice of BP measurement using Mercury and Anaeroid                    Sphygmomanometer
