Course Objective:

Determine the difference between traditional fitness programs and functionally targeted programs.

Identify unique benefits of aquatic exercise for ADL training for aging adults.

Examine the physical effects of aging and to complete a written task.

Examine the training objectives of the Golden Waves program.

Suggest modifications for 17 exercise progressions based on a condition related to aging.

Examine a weekly training progression and apply the concepts to format one week of training for a specific client.

Introduce ideas to help develop a teaching philosophy.

Provide tools for responding to your student’s safety and medical condition.

Examine field assessment protocols and review sample training results.
