WEIGHT MANAGEMENT HOME STUDY

This home study course investigates the causes of obesity (biologic, genetic, environmental and others), classifications of obesity, disease states associated with obesity and treatment protocols from behavior modification to pharmaceutical and surgical management, and other intervention techniques. The role of the personal trainer as lifestyle “coach” and the legal and ethical issues surrounding the dispensing of nutrition information are discussed. Case studies will complete the course. Theoretical exam.
